Matthew Parrish The Times

Christianity IS about God (Anglicanism was never really about God, 20 November). The two most persecuted identifiable social groups in the world today are Christians and Jews. Why is this so? It is our relationship with God. Christianity’s intellectual credibility has always been contested. Jesus' crucifixion is an honest reflection of human nature at its worst.

Judaeo-Christian teaching on family life was politically undermined by Roy Jenkins, Tony Blair and David Cameron. Minority advocacies have been disproportionately successful leading to ever decreasing circles of contest. Their original intention to overthrow Judaeo-Christian teaching has been fulfilled. The Office for National Statistics affirms that 2% of the population are homosexual. Today Christianity is little taught in state schools but sexual alternatives are. Family life is unrecognisable.
