Speak to me my Brother Jesus

Speak to me my brother Jesus I ask this of you;
Grant the Spirit’s true discernment then I’ll follow you.
Break for me the outer casing of the life that I now know,
Introduce for me the kernel internal thought through.

Speak to me redeeming Jesus I ask this of you;
Ordain strengthen and inspire me to be great for you.
Even if this means but only curing my own inner ill,
Let me be a better person and transform my will.

Speak to us our Saviour Jesus we ask this of you;
So that we remember neighbours as we worship you.
Every one for whom you suffered even our own ties of love,
May we help you lighten burdens through your grace above.

Speak to us dear risen Jesus we ask this of you;
Multiply the living harvest we may bring to you.
Through your loving saving kindness may we travel on each day,
Giving witness bringing God’s peace on our faith highway.
