Lord I lift my song to You

Lord I lift my song to you,
Though siren voices would hinder all my praise;
Joining all Christians now gathering in liberty,
Praying and hearing in touch with eternity.

Lord may I stand up for You,
Within this culture of godlessness and wrong;
As You are patronised and minimised and ostracised,
Replaced by false gods and idols well advertised.

Lord let me address Your peace,
To the real tensions of human enmities;
Replace our wilfulness and violence with hopefulness,
Let warring weapons be turned into usefulness.

Lord may I witness for You,
Never betray You and always persevere;
Faithfully following through all the years You’ve given me,
Sharing Your presence and blessings with family.

Lord grant me Your victory,
Over this world and its trials for my Faith;
In all the challenges and obstacles that I will see,
Help me accomplish all that you have asked of me.
